Listening Objectively

As drummers it’s often been said that we have the best seat in the house and perhaps that’s why so many become producers. From our seat we’re should have a good balance of everything being played as well as a good view of the people playing it and yet some drummers can tend to play as though they’re listening only to themselves. Next time you’re playing live try listening as though it’s a recording and try listening objectively.
