Education
Pete has played drums for 23 years and has taught regularly for the last 10 both privately and at the Academy Of Contemporary Music where he’s their longest serving tutor. Pete began writing a series of articles for UK drum magazine Rhythm in the early ‘90s which eventually materialised in his first book Double Trouble. Two more books for Sanctuary Publishing (now Music Sales) Crash Course and 100 Tips For Drums followed in ’03 along with his DVD based around his latest series of articles for Rhythm entitled Technical Difficulties in’05.
This knowledge would be nothing without experience and during this time Pete has played all around the world from Moscow to Tokyo and from New York to LA. Gigs have included Wembley Arena, Reading and V Festivals plenty of touring. He’s recorded albums for a wide variety of artists from Motorhead to Republica and film scores and jingles.
His understanding of the recording process has developed from his wide range of studio experience and more recently from working at his own Tindrum Studio where he produces the Rhythm magazine CD as well as recording regular sessions for a wide variety of artists. |
